Title: Edie's Steak Soup (M_c-Tx)

2lbGround chuck
1 Stick oleo or margarine
1/2cFlour
2 Carrots, diced
1mdTo large onion, diced
2 Celery stalks, diced
2mdPotatoes, diced
1pkFrozen mixed vegetables
1cnTomatoes (15-20 oz.)
4 Beef bouillon cubes
  Salt, pepper and garlic salt or garlic to taste

In dutch oven size pan melt margarine. Add flour and stir until smooth. Add 2 cups water, stir until smooth. Add 3 cups more water, carrots, celery,potatoes, mixed vegetables, tomatoes, bouillon cubes, salt, pepper and garlic. In separate pan brown meat and cook onion. Drain. Add to dutch oven. Simmer 1 1/2 hours. Freezes well.
